We will offer you professional advice, exciting setups and culinary supply.
In the Rheinland Westfalen Region the nursery Christian Filla in Straelen, which is known from the previous years, is presentation location in Germany again. Especially worth seeing is the show garden there. More than 500 Selecta varieties of our current assortment are presented in baskets and window boxes and show their performance. Additionally, the adjacent hall hosts special marketing presentations and different product types.
As last year, the location in Holland will be in the Westland region at Nursery P. van Geest Maasland. Visitors can expect a huge exhibition of the assortment – from Pelargonium to Petunia and Dianthus to bedding and balcony classics. We will present you colourful decorated theme worlds on more than 1.000 square meters. Visitors can look forward to live floristry demonstrations and many opportunities to become active.
Highlights of the shows:
Osteospermum ecklonis Purple Sun
In demand everywhere: FleuroStar Award winner 2018/19 Purple Sun. Our colour sensation inspires producers with excellent branching and easily controllable growth. The enchanting, non-fading orange-violet colour combination convinces with outstanding luminosity. Like the sunset in summer over the sea – Purple Sun takes you to the summer!
Two arguments for our Autumn Friends: trend towards convenience and increasing plant sales in late summer and autumn. The young plants grow in a combination pot from the date of potting on. The endless number of combinations with pot carnations, perennials and grasses guarantee a long-lasting attractive appearance. Further advantages: Short cultivation times and high durability.
Our pot carnation novelty 2019: Scully – Cosmic Beauty. A variety of unique brilliance. This variety catches the eye from far away due to its intense, bright colour. The brilliance of the flower is emphasised by the dark leaves and very dark buds. The flowers grow singly but in large numbers, are long-living and stand out well against the leaves. The variety is characterised by even, compact growth.
Dianthus Peach Party®
The mini carnation Peach Party® with its apricot-coloured sea of flowers provides party-mood at home. Peach Party® is a compact growing pot carnation variety with a lot of peach coloured flowers blooming above the leaves. In spring, this variety with the unique play of colours features a highly attractive, apricot-coloured bloom, which matches perfectly with the Pantone colour of the year 2019 “Living Coral”. In summer, the variety develops a vivid red eye, creating a glorious contrast between the dark centre of the flower and its lighter-coloured edge. Peach Party® has single, numerous flowers, and is hardy and suitable for any pot size.
Many Pink, fragrant flowers and excellent cultivation characteristics: Pink Kisses® is the most successful carnation of the Selecta range! Under the motto “As beautiful as our friendship”, the strong consumer campaign for Pink Kisses® is entering its third year. In 2019 we support the retail trade with a DIY Tour in cooperation with the VDG. Find all tour dates at: www.pink-kisses.eu
Three new Pelargonium varieties of the series Marcada®
Superheroes for the garden: The interspecific Pelargonium of the popular series Marcada® are continuously flowering and show all bud stages on the plant. All six varieties are guaranteed early flowering and self-cleaning. They have a round harmonic growth and grow upward as well as slightly hanging – ideal for window boxes and buckets, as single flower or planted in combinations. The series includes six varieties: Marcada® Dark Red in powerful Red, Marcada® Magenta in bright Magenta Red and Marcada® Pink in refreshing Pink. This year, we complemented the series with three strong new colours: Marcada® Orange, Marcada® White and Marcada® Pink Purple.
Pelargonium zonale Sunrise® Smokey Eye®
Sunrise® is a modern, commercial Pelargonium zonale series. The corresponding varieties have large, brilliant flowers and are green-leaved. They are characterized by a large broad field of application. As indicated by the name, Smokey Eye® are three Pelargonium varieties with a particularly strong eye which complement the bright-leaved Sunrise® series with their individual appearance. Smokey Eye® White, Smokey Eye® Pink '20 and the new Smokey Eye® Rose are early flowering and have an upright average height.
Calibrachoa cultivars MiniFamous®
MiniFamous® varieties offer the most extensive range of colours for homogeneous Calibrachoa. Root stability, very early flowering and a long flowering period are additional qualities that make MiniFamous® one of the best series on the market. The single flowering MiniFamous® Uno varieties have a semi-vigorous, round growth habit. Varieties of the series MiniFamous® Uno Double with double 3D flowers are excellent summer performers.
Sky Petunias will be extended
We still celebrate successes with our spectacular Petunia NightSky®. In the last few years, further Sky varieties were added: LightningSky with yellow star and dot pattern on dark red ground and GlacierSky with a bright white edge in combination with the unique night sky pattern. The FlowerTrials visitors can look forward to exciting colour novelties in this range, which we will present there to public for the first time.
